Our U13’s kicked off the junior tournaments this morning in a not so sunny Port Talbot. After a long summer off it didn’t take the girls long to settle back into form. We are lucky enough to have a squad of 24 U13 players this season which I think is a record.
We managed to field 2 teams with plenty of subs. Both teams were up against Teigrod Twyi and the very strong Whitchurch and Swansea clubs. Even though they only came away with 1 win in 8 games, their play didn’t reflect in the score line. Every single player played their hearts out even in the torrential downpours. They all worked well together with a lot of skill and team work shown. The Navy team welcomed Jennifer and Caitlin in their first ever tournament. Well done girls. We came away with 3 fabulous goals. One each from Seren, Farrah and Grace. Also a big shout out to Rebecca who played every single game in goals, you are amazing
A great start to the season girls, keep up the good work.
Thanks once again to our very supportive parents on the sidelines and to Kay and Morgan for coaching and umpiring #whatateam #rhonddajuniors #redarmy.
