Club Guidelines & Member Information

RLHC Guidelines on the use of Face Masks

In line with guidance from Hockey Wales and FIH, the Club strongly recommends that Face Masks should be worn by players when defending a penalty corner.

It is the responsibility of players (parents/carers of U18 members) to provide their own Face Masks for training sessions, home and away fixtures.

Rhondda Ladies Hockey Club has a small number of Face Masks in stock. If a player wishes to borrow a Club Face Mask it is the responsibility of the player (parent/carer) to ask if the Club has one available prior to the training session, home/away fixture in which it is required. If the Club has a Face Mask available it can be provided but this cannot guaranteed.

Shin Pads

Shin Pads are compulsory for all training sessions, home and away fixtures.

It is the responsibility of players (parents/carers) to ensure they are worn.

Mouth Guards

RLHC strongly recommends that players wear Mouth Guards for all training sessions, home and away fixtures.

Jewellery

We strongly recommend that players remove all jewellery before training sessions and match fixtures. Jewellery related injuries in sport can be severe and players need to reduce the risk  to themselves and other players.

We ask for the support of players and parents/carers of U18 members to ensure this recommendation is followed.
